Re: High resolutions

I haven't had issues with particular files. I was referencing this thread: https://resolume.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=13943&p=67808&hilit=Hap#p67808 Mostly, I'm anticipating large pixel spaces on some projects later in the year and trying to pre-empt issues that could come up. Parti...

High resolutions

There are plenty of users here using above HD resolutions. Might we be able to transcode to HAP in future versions of alley? I saw a thread in these forums saying arena wasn't totally stable with HAP yet too, anyone know if that's resolved?

Re: Alternative to fx4

There is a chance of this being use for edge blending. I'm surprised to hear that quadlink sdi isn't kept in sync, do you have a link for the previous discussion?

What hardware are you currently using? There will always be some latency, but you may have something obvious we can suggest

Alternative to fx4

I'm looking at splitting a uhd hdmi output into four hd outputs on 3g sdi. An fx4-sdi is roughly £2200+vat, a fx4/h & 4x hdmi>sdi totals about £1700+vat, and a hdmi>12g sdi converter into a 12g>quadlink 3g split totals about £800+vat. Are there any clear disadvantages to doing it the cheap way? ...

Decklink 8k pro outputs

After a bit of advice. In the resolume manual it says: Blackmagic SDI outputs always require an external hardware reference clock to stay sync. Is that only when using more than one card? Do all the sdi outputs on a single decklink always stay in sync with each other regardless of external sync, or ...

Macros, keyboard shortcuts and OSC

Hi all I'm currently trying to work out if it's possible to use OSC to change the composition size, add or delete a new layer, group or column, and if there's any way of populating that new space with clips that are already loaded elsewhere. Is there a way of triggering a keyboard shortcut in resolu...

Re: Stacking virtual screens

I'll have a look how much difference that makes.

I should have said, with 12jpgs/pngs into one 1080p screen, I was getting much higher fps than after adding all the virtual screens, so it does appear to be the processing involved with those that is slowing everything down
