Same problem here. I have a laptop just with arena in it. One day I play it a bit, all runs smooth and gives me over 60fps. Then, another day I just turn on, open resolume and the fps goes down to 20 fps. No changes on resolume config, power settings, display settings, no hd changes... A mistery. I ...

@adenovirux : the black is not automatically set to trasnparent (if someone wants that, needs a keyer). Those particular clips you're playing have an alpha channel that sets the trasparency . in the Clip Video Settings is a RGBA Button to deaktivate the color channels (RGB) and also the alpha chann...

That seems an easy way.

I've tried the bridge, is really fantastic.
I just run it, and in a few secs I was displaying a twitter feed in resolume (without any of those crappy flash files).
Now I need to set my mind in vvvv mode again, but is exciting.

Well... that's no more than a fckn awesome!!

look at the facts:
-3840 x 1080 comp
-4 to 8 layers or 1 layer (modul8+syphon)
-cpu, memory and ssd..Ok
-slices drop down the fps

I think the big winning in this bottleneck's contest has a clear name: GPU
You are going beyond his overhead turning on the 4 layer, or setting some slices.

Now you know guys, in the next contest just stick yourself to the old resolume aesthetic. Then you can win.

size/opacity can be configured in the Transform module, or using the frTransform plugin.
For color changes you need to apply the Hue Rotate or Colorize filters.
