DMX Video Playback Through LED Bars

Hey, After struggling with led strips and realizing purchasing power supplies and soldering was not the full-proof and simple setup I imagined it to be - I am looking at purchasing some DMX controllable (and self-powered) LED bars. My intention is to hopefully output video from Resolume via an EDMX1...

Re: Troubleshooting Signal Loss

So many useful tips here and things that I had never considered that will significantly up my game and rectify some of this problem. Thank you. I can't believe I hadn't thought to set my desktop and projector backgrounds to black, that is an essential piece of advice. I just returned from striking t...

Troubleshooting Signal Loss

Last night I had a projector lose signal randomly during an event. After spending some time frantically trying to trouble shoot the problem, I opted to disconnect another part of the installation that was more decorative and less crucial and re-map the center stage through it's output. The show went...

Re: Extended Desktop Limitations

Thanks for your response! Ravensc - I've used my triplehead many times for 2x and 3x wide resolutions. What I was not sure of was if the Triplehead increased the amount of outputs possible from my computer - or if it was reliant on the same number (4) that was possible to begin with. Am I correct in...

Extended Desktop Limitations

Hey all, In the future I have a gig coming up where I'll be required to output 5 or 6 displays from my computer. In the past I have had issues with a limitation on the maximum extension of my desktop (for multiple displays). I have successfully outputted from 4 projectors before, but I have found wh...

Matrox Triplehead Active Conversion

Hey all,

I am wondering if my Matrox Triple-Head (DisplayPort Edition) actively converts signal from DisplayPort to HDMI/DVI/VGA or if active adapters need to be bought for each conversion.

Thanks.

Re: Yellobrik Input

Thank you so much Oaktown, you are saving the day. For cost-effective-ness I'm looking at purchasing this model. I just need to determine if I have the room on my motherboard. I do have USB 3 ports on my computer if I was to go that route. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/964122-REG/blackmagic...

Re: Yellobrik Input

Thanks a lot for your reply, this is shining some light. My issue now is that that I have misunderstood the nature of the DisplayPorts on my computer. I have a PC that I built for shows. In my GTX980 I have 3 Displayports and an HDMI port. Based on what your saying I won't be able to take input thro...
