Re: AKAI APC 40 and Resolume Avenue

Very interested to see how other people are using all this control, I think sharing mappings here will help everyone get the most out of the APC. I've had mine for a couple of weeks now, so still tweaking but this is the set up so far: apc40_web_large.jpg By using the 'device control' for effects, I...

Re: Problems Fading In and Fading Out

Go to Sources on the far right and drag Solid Color onto a layer. In the clip properties you can then click on the alpha drop down menu and chose timeline. Should do the job better than a video of a fade.

Re: Recording Problems

It seems that Fraps is the best way to record, but it's still tricky to get a reasonable frame rate.

Re: Problems Fading In and Fading Out

Have you tried using a black solid colour source and modifying the opacity with a timeline?

Re: Contrast increase brightens image

Well, increasing the contrast increases the difference between the darkest and brightest parts of your image. It would make the bright parts brighter, and the dark parts darker. If you have an already bright image, increasing the contrast would indeed make it brighter overall. contrast.jpg But it s...

Contrast increase brightens image

I find that increasing the contrast with the Bright.Contrast effect tends to brighten the image, to the extent that the contrast modification on its own isn't really usable.

Is this a glitch?

Sequencing clips for recording

I think it would be handy to have some form of clip sequencing so that when recording a showreel (for example) you could get clips triggering precisely. I expect this is fairly easy, and I imagine the best way would be to use a basic MIDI sequencer to send signals to Resolume, but I have no idea whe...
