I got the best hardware.

:D Nvidia Titan graphics card
MSI Big bang Marshall motherboard for the best pci card options and the multi usb3 buses.

It's kinda old now (2yrs), but haven't seen anyone here with better features.

I am just boasting because I want to and
like hammer said "can't touch dis".

vvvv.org

I think vvvv is alot closer to QuartzComposer. VVVV many plugins/addons. MagicMusicVisuals is mainly audio reactive stuff. Spout is more like syphon on windows. But both vvvv and Magic are node style much like QC, but features may be objectively dissimilar. Try it. I like the Magic>Spout>Resolume co...

Do you know who developed Quartz Comp?

Kineme/Kosada guys extended Quartz stuff. Apple holds the steering wheel for Quartz. Which could be obsolete yesterday. and so, Quartz from Apple Kineme/Kosada Incorporated is the VUO developers. Replace Quartz? NOT QUITE as they are from diff developers. Supported by Resoulume? I want to know too, ...

Animated Line Stroke

Used to do alot of the "Etch a Sketch" and/or "Animated Line Stroke" stuff. With AfterEffects (AE) it is very easy to do simple to complex line strokes. Check here: http://library.creativecow.net/articles/velez_dean/glowing_stroke.php With additional plugins for AE you can make i...

What range is affordable for ya?

What is your max budget?

What features you need?
GoPro has fixed lenses.
If you need variable focal depth and budget HD , check out Craiglist in your area for HD cams. They usually have outputs compatible with majority of projectors.

Re: when resolume 5 will be available?

What?

We still at 4.1 something.

How about more freebie updates at 4.2 and then 4.5 then also at 4.7 or so. ;)
:D

I like 4 with more effects.

Re: Blackmagic capture cards

Could you borrow your friends Decklink card and try it on your system.
Similar specs are not the same as exact specs.

This way you can determine if its the card or not.

Similar may produce different results.

Make a free version

Make a free version. Some people would like to " try before you buy". Add a syphon layer and/or support. Portability is probably your best feature. The newest iPad has more horses behind it, but not everyones gonna go out and get one to run a VJ app. With syphon input you might have hybrid...

Re: Getting Creative with Xbox Kinect

Z Vector looks really good. I wonder how much it will be after beta. I like that it works with both Win and Mac. Dunno yet, but it has features in it that I really desire . Price may not be purchase factor. Was also going to look at: Synapse Kinect A OSCeleton Well same guys who makes Z Vector make...
