Re: Beginner here - a couple of questions

This knob also functions as a button, which I'd like to assign to reset the speed to 1.00 - it does that when right clicking it but I'm not s...

Re: Blackmagic Ultra studio on MBP

I bought an UltraStudio SDI when it first came out and ended up returning it. There was an issue with the tolerance of whatever electronic component "latched" onto the HD-SDI signal. After an unpleasant support experience with BM I returned it for a refund. I imagine by now whatever weird ...

Re: The future of Quartz Composer

Quartz Composer is definitely on it's way out. At best -- and this is a stretch -- Apple would rebuild it from the ground up and rebrand. I suggest checking out Vuo. It's probably as close as you'll get to the QC environment. Consider this: Does Quartz Composer help sell iPhones in China? It's an un...

Yosemite & Boot Camp

The biggest reason I can see so far for not updating to Yosemite on Macs is Boot Camp compatibility. There's something in the Yosemite installation process that affects partition mapping ("Core Storage") and can cause issues. In my case even a test Yosemite install to an external drive aff...

Stroboscope as an effect

Just like Solid Color is available as both an effect and source, I would love to have Stroboscope available as an effect. It seems like the current Strobe effect is really half of a Stroboscope anyways, no?

Re: Duration is incorrect one re-linked clips

I've had clips set to BPM transport default to 1 beat after re-linking. Just did a quick test in 4.1.11 and it re-linked fine though.

If I remember correctly it was on comps I hadn't opened in a while like in your case. I'll follow up if I encounter the issue again.
