Ya but the problem is then that if there is white in color in the gif it gets keyed out as well

there are literally countless videos on youtube & vimeo explaining how to do it with Resolume

step 1: buy a projector
step 2: build a structure out of white cardboard (even a small scale size)
step 3: download Resolume
step 4: watch youtube tutorials
step 5: ??

one thing I'm noticing watching the videos is that his "delay/feedback" effect still has the animations playing as the image echoes around. Not just a frozen slice of a frame. and somehow he has a Hue rotate effect with a delay through the trails. and they also fade away after a certain ti...

yes there is. i use the beta of this software. its not available to the public yet, but you might be able to ask them as well to get on the beta. one of the features that i absolutely LOVE about this software is that you can set a delay. so lets say you are at a gig that is 80ft away from the stage....
