Re: The best way to record/export w/ arena 5

I haven't experimented with recording directly to the same machine I'm playing clips from. Seems like a bad idea though, Yiour storage drive is already working hard throwing content into Arena, displaying it smoothly is fine (the GPU takes care of that) but recording it at the same time means a lot ...

Re: The best way to record/export w/ arena 5

An external recorder would probably give the ultimate results. We use Blackmagic Hyperdecks, and also Atomos recorders. These accept hdmi, sdi, or both, and can record in protea codec for stunning results. Monster file sizes though!

Re: Crosshairs for Advanced Output

Re: Crosshairs for Advanced Output

This already exists (kind of)

https://resolume.com/manual/en/r5/outputtransformation

Scroll down and check out the bit entitled Show Grid.

You have to turn this on and off per slice. But it's still useful.

Re: Photos: Projection Mapping and 12 channels of SDI

I'm guessing some config of external converters. Three HDMI outputs... Hdmi to 6gsdi, then an sdi multiplexer to give four hd-sdi's per original source.

Re: Flexible media server build

Why not just run your MBP through the Datapath? You could have a lot of screen real estate very quickly!
