Resolume 6.1.3: The Enchanted Princess

The 6.1.3 update has enchantment galore. We worked on stability and ease of use, but above all, we used our magic powers to make Resolume more beautiful, more elegant and more enchanting. She now feels like the princess she deserves to be, and we're sure you will too. cinderella.gif Cinderella Deckl...

Re: Transform x Slice Transform x Transform

Yeah, I think there's a lot more going on in that setup than you actually need. Let's see if we can optimise it a bit. Slice Transform is all about your stage and how you want your content to look on it. So before we get technical, let's start with that. What does your (hypothetical) stage look like...

Re: Video fader doesn't work on advance output

There is a master fader. It fades out everything that goes out of Resolume. The composition video. The composition audio. DMX output. Layer video that is routed to slices. Everything. There is a composition video fader. It only fades out the composition video. It does not fade layer video that is ro...

Re: Clips with audio jitter

When playback is locked to SMPTE, playback is completely out of our hands. Because it's locked to SMPTE. SMPTE is literally a signal telling Resolume "SHOW THIS FRAME...NOW SHOW THIS FRAME...NOW SHOW THIS FRAME....NOW SHOW THIS FRAME" @30 times per second (or whatever your SMPTE framerate ...

Re: Clips with audio jitter

I'm not sure what you'd like me to say. I was trying to explain to rawdesigns why AV playback is different from regular video playback, and give an indication on where he can start troubleshooting. His post didn't have any more info, so it's difficult to say anything else. We regularly test sync and...

Re: effect presets shortcut menu

It's not so much performance, but stability and UX. Changing a single parameter continuously is very safe. Recalling a preset, that is not guaranteed to exist on disk anymore, for potentially dozens of parameters, that may have their ranges changed, if they even still exist at all, is the opposite o...

Re: Midi 127 values limitation...

If you have a controller that actually sends 14 bit MIDI, you can use it by enabling the 14 bit toggle, like Zoltan posted before. If your controller does not actually send 14 bit MIDI, that button does not magically make your controller do so. The combining of two CCs doesn't mean that you will be ...

There are advantages to this, but also lots of drawbacks. You can read more about that here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=17139&p=70466&hilit ... ets#p70318

Re: Clips with audio jitter

When playing back an AV file, the audio engine decides when it's time to display the next frame. So the perceived fluidity of the playback depends entirely on what you have set up in your audio preferences. In particular, very high or very low buffer sizes on a default PC audio driver can be problem...
