Re: A magic trick to switch between compositions

Sounds like you’re at the point of needing two playback machines and a suitable graphics switcher. Depending on your final configuration this could be vaguely reasonably priced up to eye-wateringly expensive!

Not possible at the moment.

Re: Mac Book Pro 2019

The intel cards are pretty rubbish. You’d be safest to get a Radeon. Is the reason for getting a Mac purely Resolume? Or are you using other mac only software? I love my Mac, and couldn’t bear to use a PC for my day to day stuff. But I’ll admit the MSI laptops we have at work for Resolume work are m...

Re: LED Controllers Sync and Resolume

You need to try an output expander. My favourite is the Datapath FX4. One 4K input from computer. Split to four perfectly synced HD outputs.

Re: Spreading a video over 4 screens

You really (really) want to be looking at a Datapath X4 or FX4 for this. One 4K feed from your graphics card into the FX4 and then split your output four ways in the hardware. Four outputs from a graphics card will almost never be in sync! For your current scenario you’d be looking at four slices, o...

Re: Datapath Benefits?

Sure, it’s double the pixels!

I’m not familiar with your GPU, but most higher end cards can cope with pushing at least one 4K output if not more.

Running two outputs directly is fine until you try to blend them... you’ll be lucky to not get sync artefacts visible across the blend.

Re: Datapath Benefits?

Run one 4K input into the Datapath and split into four perfectly synced HD outputs. Awesome if you’re driving multiple LED processors, essential if you’re blending projectors.

Re: play the same video file starting from different timecodes?

I’d stick with “from start” and modify the start point of the clip in resolume. You can drag it around, or type a number in the box above the handle (box appears when you click on it!)

Re: Power cycle projectors without losing signal?

You could try an Edid minder inserted between the card and projector. The card will always see the edid minder as being connected leaving you free to turn the projectors on and off.

No direct experience of them, but this sort of thing looks like it would fit your needs.
