So i think its not adapter but res with macbook problem...
I have two 2017 MBPs with 4GB Radeon 560 and I run shows very successfully without any issues on a regular basis so it sounds like it's an issue that affects some MBPs (like yours) and not others.

This means we need to figure out what makes your MBP not work properly with Resolume so thank you for keeping on troubleshooting on the forum!

Did you read resolume group on fb? Many people report fps droping using 1080ti and other good specs. So i see its common problem with new resolume.

I sort of follow the FB page and see a couple of isolated cases but not that many people especially when you think about how many people use Resolume in the world! And then once again, the MBP you have is a different beast than a PC using a 1080ti so highly irrelevant.

Can you try to create a new user and run Resolume logged in as that new user to see if it makes any difference?

Have you worked with compositions greater than 1080p?
Recently I worked with a composition of 3200 x 1280px
-The temperature of the MBP rose too high, it reached a point where the touch bar stopped reacting

-It had a blackmagic mini thunderbolt recorder in which I captured the switcher signal at 1080i

the fps went down to 25fps every time I activated the bm recorder
with dxv videos the fps were normal 58-60fps

What do you think is due?
I've thought about buying an egpu (amd radeon pro duos or a wx7100)
What do you recommend me?

Yes
Recently I worked with a composition of 3200 x 1280px
3200x1280 is only ~1.5 times the size of an HD comp so it shouldn't create huge performance issues.

The new MBPs get really hot for sure!

You're using the UltraStudio Mini Recorder not the UltraStudio HD Mini, correct? If so, are you using the Apple TB2>TB3 adapter?
the fps went down to 25fps every time I activated the bm recorder
with dxv videos the fps were normal 58-60fps
Is that a dip to 25fps and back up to 58-60fps or it stays constant at 25fps when you capture? Do you experience that when you only have the capture triggered?
What do you think is due?
Not sure. Can you describe your whole setup?

I run egpu's on Windows not Mac so you might want to talk to cvanhoose as I beleive he runs a 2080ti on a MBP.

yes

it remains constant at 25fps or less..when I capture ... (the signal becomes a stop motion effect)
Do you experience that when you only have the capture triggered?
yes, only when I activate the clip of the capture
Not sure. Can you describe your whole setup?

What about your Resolume comp and output details?

Is your comp set to automatic or 60fps?

Are you running the most recent version of Blackmagic software?

What's your source rate on your BMD recorder?

Have you tried resetting your PRAM and SMC and repairing your Disk permissions on your Mac?

Try it just in case: Repairing Disk permissions / Restting PRAM/SMC

What is your video wall processor set to?
