Win11 Wire - Interface stuttering

Post by Han »

Hi Guy,
I bought around one one month ago a new PC.
MSI MAG B550M MORTAR WIFI
AMD Ryzen Ryzen 7 5800X
Crucial Ballistix Schwarz 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR4-3200 CL16
Samsung SSD 980 Pro M.2280 PCI 4.0 1TB
Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 6800 XT Gaming OC 16G
A quite nice System so far.
Around three weeks ago I did the upgrade to Win 11 (Win insider programm. Was interessted how it is -> works pretty well).
Yesterday I thought Ok, lets start a little bit with Wire but obvious the interface is stuttering a lot in the patch.
Resolume was also also a little bit laggy but by far not this bad.

No is my question. Is this a problem with Win11 and I only have to wait or is it the problem with the purchased hardware at all.
I didnt try Arena and Wire on the system before the upgrade, so I cant compare.
And I cant roll back to Win10.

Is there anybody out there with the same problem?

EDIT: Drivers are all the latest version

EDIT2: I noticed that for a example a clock presets works smooth in the patch

Interesting, what happens if you place a gradient node into the clock example patch, and try to drag that around?

I tried and the gradient in clock example ist smooth moveable.
But when I delete everything in the patch except the gradient the stuttering starts again.
So that means at the moment that a full patch works smoother for me than an empty one.
I saw the same beahaviour after I watched the shape tutorial.
I started with one shape and it was stuttering.
Then I started to add everything from the shape section and it was much more fluid.

Version 7.6 from today changed nothing either.

Looks like some kind of power throttling from the OS.
The more nodes I have the more smooth they can be moved.

We'll see what we can do.

The solution:
In my case it was a Win11 thing.
Had a lot crashes, blue screens und and spontaneous reboots yesterday not matter which software I used.
A least the system got problmes by showing usb devices in the explorer.
I was super annoyed and was going back to Win10.

Now Wire is super smooth and the system stable :)
