Arena + BM Intensity Shuttle + GoPro Hero2

Post by cevansroberts »

Hey, I'm trying to get a live feed from a GoPro Hero2 into an Arena set using the BM Intensity shuttle (thunderbolt). So far I've had no luck getting any input in Arena.

I've plugged the GoPro into a TV via Composite and HDMI and both give a live feed but when trying to get anything using the Shuttle nothing works.

I've used the same resolution settings on the GoPro, in the BM Preferences and in the Source clip in Arena (with the corresponding connection setting for the clip too). Just a black clip.

Has anyone had any luck with this set-up? Any ideas on what I might be missing?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

what is your motherboard model? And are you running it on a PC or a Mac?
One of my friends got it working with a mini hdmi to HDMI cable.

It's a Retina Macbook Pro. Running OSX 10.8.2 and latest versions of all the software etc.

That is weird. Try shutting down your machine and set up all connections before turning it on. Last time i saw someone using a Go Pro hero 2 he got it working like that. And he was using a macbook pro 15

I would use the composite out, that works for me.. 3x goPro > cheap AV switcher > BMD

Hi,

having practically the same issue.
I'm trying to get the live view from my Hero2 into resolume arena trough a Composite input on the intensity shuttle.
I can't even get the image in the blackmagic media express software wich is included with the unit.
Tried it with a normal DVD player, and it all works fine!

Any succes with this.
Any tips?

Tnx!

I am having the same issues with the same setup except my input to the Shuttle is a Sony Anycast System with multiple feeds. Same resolution settings throughout chain, no results. Have any of you since fixed this problem??

My setup:
Macbook Pro Mid 2012 Retina | 2.7 Ghz i7 | 16 GB Mhz DDR3 | Nvidia GEForceGT 650M 1024 Mb | OS X 10.9.2
Anycast AWS - G500 | BMD Intensity Shuttle for Thunderbolt | Resolume Arena 4.1.9
