Windows 8 (64bit) arena/avenue 4 startup problem

Hi guys,

I'm experiencing a problems when starting up resolume arena or avenue 4 on windows 8 64 bit. The logo appears but stays there with a white background. This keeps on going, it doesn't respond. This is happening from the first time that i start up resolume after install, so it cannot be the composition files that have to be resetted to default. I tried uninstalling and installing different subversions of arena and avenue 4, but i get the same result. On windows 7 i had no issues. Anyone knows a solution or is experiencing the same thing ?

try running it in compatibility mode for windows 7

windows 8 has problems with pretty much every piece of software that wasn't written for windows 8

I tried but i get the same result. When i do a compatability test in w8, it says it should run in windows xp (service pack 3). I tried this compatibilaty mode but it also doesnt work..

Damn you windows8!

Try to force the second output even you have no second screen connected.

Oh no! Resolume won't start anymore!
Go to the Resolume application folder. Move the config.xml file, move your compositions, disconnect all devices and try to start again. This will force Resolume to start with the default comp and preferences. If you're still having trouble, please send your log file to mail@resolume.com

So where do I find the log files?
Compositions and config.xml:
MAC: /Users/[username]/Documents/Resolume Avenue 4/
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\My Documents\Resolume Avenue 4\
Win7: C:\Users\[username]\My Documents\Resolume Avenue 4\

Log files:
MAC: /Users/[username]/Library/Logs/Resolume Avenue 4 log.txt
PC: C:/Documents and Settings/[username]/Application Data/Resolume/Resolume Avenue 4 log.txt (folder may be hidden)
Win7: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Resolume

what system are you using, especially gpu?
i suppose it has to do with the grapic drivers! (if it's not an xml file)
