DXV Alpha Channel

Post by vjgalaxy »

Hi, hope you are well. We often create animations for VJs using After Effects. We're rendering DXV + Alpha Channel files from AE, but, we've tested the files into Resolume 4.1.8 (Demo), but it doesn't recognize the alpha channel.

Some ideas?

Thanks in advance.

I think I've figure out the solution. The video opacity must be set up at 0.50.

Nope. Resolume must and will recognize your alpha channel properly.
There´s no need for changing the opacity.
My guess is that you forgot something while exporting from AE. I´ve been there before ; )

Yeah you probably forgot either to tell the codec it to preserve alpha or didnt render rgb+alpha.
