I am looking to use 4 x composite NTSC cameras, via a vision mixer, into (and out of...) Resoloume.
Is this possible?
What will I need?
Got a Mac Pro.
Using one projector to project up to 13 layers onto 12 screens.
14G RAM.
Just get a pcie capture card that can take the output from your video mixer. My favorite Swiss-army capture card is the Blackmagic Declink Studio but it's a bit pricey so if you don't use HD-SDI and all you need is component, S-Video, composite or HDMI get the Blackmagic Intensity Pro.
Thanks folks!
yes, I am planning on putting the vision mixer into resolume. I guess if it can take 2 cameras, then a vision mixer counts as 1 camera, right?
I'll check out the Black magic card too...it was the answer I was kind of expecting, so thanks for that.
The cameras I will be using are lo-res colour spy cameras.
I am hoping to mix the vision mixer with content via one projector.
This will project over 12 x screens, with different layers of Resolume applied to various combinations of screens.
If I'm using a Mac Pro with 14G of RAM, what are the chances of Resolume crashing? What should I look out for as something that might overload the system?
