Piano mode!

Post by newsai »

I want to use piano trigger clip with key or midi mapping while my composition remain Normal trigger style.

I found it impossible to do that since key or midi mapping only allow piano mode on effects and control things.

Any solution? :?

Right click on the clip handle, and you will see an option to change its triggerstyle.

I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to accomplish, but I can tell you how I use piano trigger and maybe that will help. I actually have 1 layer dedicated to piano mode. I have a 61 key midi controller, so I added 61 clips in this layer & individually midi mapped each clip for each key on the controller. For example:
Clip 1 = C0
Clip 2 = C#0
Clip 3 = D0
etc.

The best part about this set up is that it doesn't matter what controller I use, as long as I am sending these notes (on the correct midi channel) to Resolume, the clips will trigger. Hope this helps….Cheers!
