Group Bypass + Routing - Arena 6

Post by AdevProjects »

Is it possible to route a group to a slice without the output of that group being visible in the composition?

If a layer group has bypass turned on, I cant set this bypassed group as an input to either a video router or a slice in the same way as a layer.

The bypass stops rendering the group unlike a layer where setting bypass just disables output through the composition.

Is this a bug? Or does this work differently to what I expected?

I expected that if a router input can be selected and that input also has a bypass button, the "Ignore Bypass/Solo" checkbox would work with it.

Looks like it got broken again in 6.0.2.

I’ve actually yet to use groups on a show because it’s broken on every version I’ve tried.

To be fair that’s alpha, 6.0 and 6.0.3. So it’s probably just more my timing.

I can confirm that this is fixed on 6.0.1 but broken again up through 6.0.6. Can someone at Resolume please add a new issue tag for this so it can can get fixed again in the next update and I can stay current? :) definitely need this feature for the way I map multiple screens.

Thank You!

Which case is broken for you exactly?

Group Bypass works as expected for me, but input opacity doesn't really do anything, which makes sense as the group doesn't have an opacity, just layers in the group.

Groups have both a Master and Video Opacity. They're available via the Group panel, and on the grid when you disable the Crossfader view.

The Ignore Input Opacity is working as expected for me too, btw. On both the Master and the Opacity.
