video router

Post by Shamai »

when i add a video router to inside a group it doesnt input all my layers from below the group
just one of the reasons to add this is this would be useful for virtual studio sets where you want to resize all your vj content as screen fill ins without scaling individual layers and toggling the overlay background as well as the router at the same time so its seamless (obviously this can also be done through external controllers but why not have it simple and in resolume) also im sure other users will have a use for this

When the video router is in a group the Layers below are on the group level, so layers that are not part of the group will have no effect on it.
The bottom layer in a group is the base texture of the group, it is not blended with any other layer below.

Video routers can access layer textures directly when you select a specific layer for the video router input.
If you need to grab the texture of 'Layers below' inside a group, create a layer where you put a video router, input set to Layers below(layer opacity turned down), and in your group you can put a video router with it's input set to the grabber layer (Input opacity unchecked)
This should also work between groups.
