Flashplayer crash inside resolume

Post by mfo »

I had those crashes right from first version of resolume2 and i could never find the reason. now i've at least an idea.
what happens is the following:

i load a complex scripted flash movie onto a layer. when i later on try to replace it with another flash movie, a simple one, i get a flashplayer crash. you get that kind of crash normally when building endless loops. But the simple movie is without any loops and uses no parameters the complex movie is using.
that crash happens even when i clear the layer and load an avi before i put the simple movie into it.

All flash movies i used for testing normally work without bugs or crashes. Furthermore i can do those replacements in the stand alone flash player without crashes.

not yet you need to send me the xml file too, now the movie clips just goes into an endless loop causing everything to go reaaallly slow and then a message asking to stop the running scripts ...

Hi MFO,
we were able to reproduce the bug, but we we'll have to see wether we are able to anything about it or wether it is a flash bug we can't fix.
So we'll have a look but i can't promise you anyhting.

Cheers
Edwin
