Invert Chroma Key

Post by Sportinger »

Hello everyone,

iam playing around with some effects and would like seperate a specific color and leave everything else transperant. Iam used to have an invert option on Chroma key, which is not the case in Resolume 6. I tried some workarounds but dont get the desired effect despite keying every single unwanted color for each clip. Any ideas ?

Sincerely

Here is a workaround:
  • Use 2 layers, one for the keyed clip (layer 1) and one for a router (layer 2)
  • Turn the opacity of layer 1 to 0
  • Select layer 1 as source for the router and uncheck input opacity
  • ChromaKey the color you want to keep.
  • Select Show Mask
  • In the router, add an Invert RGB effect
  • In the router, add a Colorize effect and select the same color you just keyed out
[ADD] You can easily select the same color in the Colorize effect by copying the Key Hue from the ChromaKey effect, selecting HSB in the Colorize effect and pasting the value in the Hue text box.

this is it. Overlooked the Show mask button.

Thank you very much for that quick response :)
