Tearing issue

Post by bedoe »

hi everyone,

Sorry for my poor english

I have throuble with tearing betwen output..

My setup:
Macpro late 2013
3.5GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon E5 processor
16GB 1866MHz DDR3 ECC memory
Dual AMD FirePro D500 with 3GB GDDR5 VRAM each
Storage 256 SSD

Connected with Barco Encore2 using 2 MDP to DP cable.
Resolution 3840x1080 each output.

The problem came up with resolume 6, but it doesn't show at resolume 5.

If you guys have any solution, please share to this forum.

Sincerly,
Bedoe

I think that's not an issue to be fixed, as you asked on update announcement.
Do you tryed to change your composition fps?

If this is a constant delay between outputs you see, you could try to add a frame delay to the Screen that is outputting before the other. https://resolume.com/support/en/screens#adjusting-delay

It's not constant, delay only happen when show fast animation.. in slow video, it looks fine..

You probably don't see it in a slow animation, because the difference between the frames is so low.

Problem solved

Thanks for francoe, i usually set the FPS composition to Auto, on this case, we need to adjust FPS comp.. minimum 30fps, if lower than that you'll see some Lag on video...

As far as i can remember from various responses from different technical discussions elsewhere, Mac Pro multiple outputs are not in sync with each other.

Apple built a custom AMD Radeon graphic driver without the eyeinfinity feature.

Thus you can't sync up the outputs from the graphic card system level
