Recorded Mov_Demux Video Stream Playback half audio

Post by RichVisuals »

After recording a video with audio and watching it back (the demux file)
The playback of the video stream is about half the normal speed and no longer synchronised with the audio.
Tested in QT and MpegStreamclip.

Any ideas how to get this back to normal playback speed with audio and export of mp4

What did you record the video with and what codec are you working with?

Recorded using the record button in Resolume, produces 3 files, audio, video, and one which is both.
The audio and video files are the correct time length and can be recombined using other software to create a correct audiovideo file.

The one created by resolume, which has both audio and video plays fine in resolume, but not in anything else. The audio plays at the correct speed but the video appears to be stretched to double the correct length.

DXV3 codec being used for most things I think.
The output files are
xxxxx.mov < video at correct time length and playback speed (no audio)
xxxxx.wav < audio at correct playback speed
xxxxx_muxed.mov < audio and video, video playback at half speed. Having trouble identifying the recorded codec being used as the description fields are blank

I did some testing on my MBP running Mojave and I do get three files (muxed, video, and audio) but they all line up perfectly. The demux file has both audio and video aligned and if I play both the audio and video files in different layers they all work in perfect sync.

The codecs are:
  • muxed: Turbo Photo Jpeg at comp FPS+ FFMPEG, 44.1 KHz, stereo
video:Turbo Photo Jpeg at comp FPS
    audio: WAV, 44.1 KHz, stereo
and I can play the muxed file in everything I have.

What's your setup?
