Audio lag

Post by lightmaster »

Hi

I am struggling with lag on some of the videos I play, I can play the same video in q-lab with no lag but in resolume Arena 6.1.1 it will start lagging after about 2 sec.

I am running on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)- 2,2 GHz Intel Core i7 - Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB - 16GB

This is a recurring problem with other MacBook also.

Any advice on this?

A first step: audio should be flat, no compression at all, within videos playing in Resolume.

Are you using uncompressed (pcm) audio in these video files?

Hi

I have converted a .m4v with H.264, AAC to dxv

it is basically a video recorded on a phone.

Does the video also drop frames/flash to black occasionally?
Have you tried to change the audio buffer size in audio preferences?
Do other Audio files play fine in the same layer?

Could you send us this DXV that has this issue and your original file so we can check them out?
Which program did you use to convert the m4v to DXV mov?

Hi Zoltan

The video seems fine, no drop frames.
I have tried changing buffer size, I can send this DXV if you mail me. I used MPEG Streamclip to convert.

Thanks for the files, the DXV works fine for me on my macbook.
Try adjusting the audio buffer size to something higher.
If that doesn't help, try to record how the lag sounds and looks like exactly so we can better understand the issue.
