MSI GS65 Stealth Thin 8RF Wont output crashes resolume instantly

just spent 2 grand on this shiny laptop with a GTX 1070 Max-Q in it and it wont output
crashes instantly when i try to send the output outside of the laptops own screen.
running the absolute latest windows / drivers from MSI / Drivers From Nvidia
Windows 1803 17134.556
Nvidia 418.81
i tried to plug a monitor in and disable the intel UHD Graphics 630 completely to no avail
the BIOS doesnt have any options to disable optimus or whatever (not even sure this has optimus)
please god tell me there is a fix this is a nightmare i found out during a show and had to walk away from the gig like a clown
