Share projects between Avenue 6 and Arena 6?

I have an Avenue 6 and an Arena 6 license, and I'm wondering if projects can be shared OK between them if the Arena-exclusive features are not used.

A musician/director wants to collaborate on creating video elements to accompany his music, but in these times I'm reluctant to sit side-by-side. I'm thinking I could lend him my Avenue license. Sharing projects/assets via DropBox and screens with (eg) TeamViewer would enable me to tweak his and him to tweak mine(!).

Would this work? Any other suggestions?

Opening Arena composition in Avenue will work just fine, the groups are ignored, layers are still there. But if you then save the composition on Avenue, then the groups are not saved back.
