Nvidia driver crash

Post by elgarf »

Got latest resolume 7.2.0 crashed with no crash reporter window,

this is what in my windows event manager:

Code: Select all

The NVIDIA OpenGL driver has encountered
an out of memory error. This application might
behave inconsistently and fail.
(pid=3060 arena.exe 64bit)

Code: Select all

Unable to recover from a kernel exception. The application must close.

Error code: 3 (subcode 7)
 (pid=3060 tid=3736 arena.exe 64bit)
It can be connected with hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling, I think.

Looks like a driver crash.
Which nvidia driver version do you have?

Latest 451.48. Sometimes it crash on start, sometimes it doesn't.
Resolume 6 works OK, I don't tried previous versions.

Could you try a few months older driver to rule out driver issues?

I am having same issue (already have an email going)

What version of Windows are you on? I tried a few different driver versions from the past few months and they all crash. Crashes happened when opening advanced output or minimizing the program window. Reverting back to the version Windows provides seems to have resolved issue for now (Windows version 2004 with Nvidia driver 442.19)

With later driver versions, the FPS counter in Resolume would hover around 30 (because I have a 4k@30hz device connected). With the driver for that version of Windows FPS is back to reading around 60.
