Vegas Pro -> DXV with Alpha.

Post by paralion »

Probably no one is using Vegas Pro, but if so, maybe someone has an Idea how to produce an Alpha DXV with it? My current way is using the depreciated Quicktime and rendering directly without Alley, but its painfully slow despite my 2070S and 12 Core 3900x Ryzen. (20 minutes for a 4 Minute 1080p Clip)

If i dont render directly from Vegas, what codec preserves the Alpha so I can use Alley?

Anyone?

Quicktime Animation does.

If you have Resolume installed on the machine, Quicktime should be also able to export to DXV, (at least it used to be able to.)

Yes, as mentioned, the direct quicktime dxv works, it takes around 4 minutes for 30 secs of FullHD.
I will try the combination of QT Animation -> Alley later, to see if this 2-step method can safe me time. Alley seems very fast in general. Will update.
