Midi mapping clunky process - think I need a bit of help

Post by Light FX UK »

Awesome community, so thanks in advance.

Just got the Korg Nanokontrol Studio midi controller. Bit of an odd issue I'm facing.

I have the controller connected up successfully via USB and have installed the usb to midi driver. So far so good. The problem comes when I try to edit Midi in Res. This is the process I currently have to do but I think it's a bit clunky :
  • Select Edit Midi in Res

Highlight clip I want to adjust the midi button / slider / knob for.

Choose the Res parameter I want to map.

On controller move the desired button/ knob / slider.

I then have to come out of midi mapping mode and select the next clip as when I try to select the next clip it just stays on existing one.

I then have to select edit midi to successfully map the next clip
.

Can't remember having this issue on other midi controllers. Is it a case of adjusting settings in the Korg Editor software or is it a simple fix in Res?
