Is recording DXV limited to 3 GB files?

Post by SUGERMAN »

Does not matter how long I leave the record button engaged, the final clip is trimmed down to size and seems to be a hard limit to 3 GB.

I suppose this is intentional otherwise output would eat entire hard drive in no time  but a bummer coz I am trying to record a one-minute composition and DXV so smooooth.

I tried prores 422 but my computer is dropping frames.

Seems like I may be stuck with motion JPEG, not the end of the world but not nearly as nice!

Anyone else have experience like this?

Thanks!

What kind of file system are you recording to, and which Resolume version?

Sounds like a filesystem issue (fat16/32) to me

Yeah, fat32 would be 4 GB though, right?
But if your disk runs out of space weird things can happen.
