Ghost Layers / Multiple group membership?

Post by AcdNrg »

Is there a way to have a layer feed into two or more groups at the same time?

Since group membership is exclusive as of today, I wonder if there is a workaround in the form of "Ghost Layers", ie:

layers 1+2+3 = group 1
layers 4+5+6 = group 2

where layer 6 would be a clone of layer 3, just with it´s own controls. This way, you could have content of layer 3 shown in either group 1, group 2, or both. And quickly switch things around.

Maybe there is a better way to do this, I´m new here. However, doing every change twice (adding, moving clips etc) is not what I´m looking for ;)

The Video router source, placed on your secondary layers should be able to do this. You can select which layer's texture it should show.
