Full Output Loss!!!!????

Post by tombroughton »

Hey Guys

Gonna get straight to it:

Venue I work for has (instead of buying an iMac & Arena license) hired an iMac with Arena installed and licensed from an AV company.
iMac specs:
iMac Retina 5k, 27inch,2020
3.8 ghz intel 8 core i7
8gb ram
AMD Radeon Pro 5500 xt 8gb
Running OS Monterey 12.0.1

Resolume Arena 6.1.2.

THE PROBLEM:

I am running 2 outputs via USB c converters
Output 1 USB c to Displayport
into Matrox triplehead2go outputting over 3 projectors mapped to create 1 large image
output resolution/size 3840 x 720
Output 2 USB c to HDMI
into HDMI splitter outputting to 3 720 plasmas

so I have all mapped and each output set as different "screens" in advanced output etc and all works fine.

UNTIL

randomly all video output stops and projectors and plasmas revert to showing the extended desktop. then when I go into advanced output settings in resolute I have to change output for each screen to virtual and then back to its designated output.

can anyone help as to why this is happening and how I can fix it??

Thanks

Tom

Sounds like it could be solved with edid minders in the signal chain close to the imac....

but it shouldnt happen in the first place ;)

How long and what cables are installed to get to the projectors...

Edit:
It also can be a hdcp drop coming from the plasmas and the splitter.... does it happen when only on destination is connected as well?

Pretty sure I responded to you on FB as well, but if you rented ANY gear and are having issues, I would immediately hit up your rental supplier for tech support, that's one of the joy's of renting, they provide the support as well. I mean, you ARE paying for it ;)
