Video streams jittering

Post by balcib »

I use cinepack and indeo codecs at bigger sizes than 320x240 (mostly 720x576). Everytime I go higher than 320 playing just one video, the image jitters. I note it when it's playing 25fps, but as I make the frame rate lower the jitter becomes more noticeable. My processor performance at any time is 50%. This issue comes since I use 2.3 and 2.4 versions of resolume. With 1.51 version I'm able to play three video streams with fx (dv50 codec 720x576, i mean higher quality video) with no problem. I've been trying to find a workaround, but after testing lots of configurations, didn't find any solution. As you see in my tech specs, what should I improve in my system, or by other hand, what other direction should i take in order to solve this issue.

My tech specs:

motherboard: asrock 775
ram: 512
hd: 2 seagate 7200rpm on raid0
Operating system: Windows xp professional sp2 (had the same problem when sp1)
processor: Intel pentium 3.0ghz 64bit 630
videocard: ati radeon 9250 (also tried ndvidia 256mb)
file type: avi
codec: cinepack, indeo, dv50 and picvideo
software: premiere pro, tmpeng (always encoding my video at "every frame")

I can confirm the jitters are worse when you drop the playback rate, which is a bit weird, its also very odd but an external drive jitters less than an internal drive, even if the drives are the same type. I wish these jitters would go, I use so many slow pans and zooms, it really irritated me!

Resolume 2.4 veta is a LOT faster then 2.3 and jitters have been reduced as much as possible.
