Do i really need 2.4 to run 2.41?

Do i really need 2.4 to run 2.41?

hi guys, i was here instaling me new system on a new laptop and i came across with this question.

2.41 is supposedly an Update for 2.4, therefore, free.

I have installed directely the 2.41 without the 2.4 and it works GREAT!!! my question to you is: do i really need to have the 2.4v installed in order to the 2.41 works even better?
i mean... supposedly the 2.41 should´t be only installed if the 2.4 version was installed first?

We never make installers that update an older version, so by installing 2.41 you did the right thing.
