I can't quite believe it myself but here is what happens intermittently:
I have a Yamaha RM1X connected via MIDI cable to an Evolution UC-33 which is connected via USB 2.0 to my WinXP computer. About 120 EFX are mapped to the RM1Xs keys.
1) After setting up I can load EFX into global EFX slots by pressing various keys with no problem.
2) At some point, several EFX start loading themselves. The auto-triggered EFX seem to be the ones that were recently manually triggered.
This last time I paid special attention to the RM1X and did not see any of the MIDI IN or MIDI OUT lights go on, so it looks like the MIDI drivers in my computer and/or Resolume are generation the EFX.
I also have the RM1X loaded with EFX patches, that is sequences of EFX that can be played and looped. But this problem is happening without activating the play function on the RM1X.
I started seeing this problem on my new Core Duo video mixing box and never saw it on my laptop so it looks like a HW/SW problem specific to this machine.
Any insight or suggestions would be appreciated.
