2.41 not working bug which everybody knows

Post by igraq »

Hi everybody, you propably know the biggest problem of the 2.41
Youre at gig, ready to go, run resolume and BANG!, empty boxes at screen setup, cannot play any video...

After many i got a solution! (that works for me) Try to switch a colour depth of your display to 16bit depth.

That's not a big problem, just restart res., that's just a 5sec

Wow, igraq, thank you so much for posting this!! :)

Works for me too! (whereas restarting didn't always do the trick)

More importantly it has also fixed a load of other 2.41 bugs I was experiencing (in particular, the one where it starts fine but then stops being able to load up decks)

I had this too infact and but i always ended up deleting the screensetup file, So i knew it was something in that area but wasnt sure exactly what. Cheers for that. I actually thought it was just because i was using S-Video

Works! I was just about to post since I have had this problem of no files forever (no matter what version, after reformat etc.).

Seems silly, but it's a solution for now, thanks!

Hi all,

In the manual is stated that thats should be the normal workin conditions right?
Why would u want higher bitDepth anyways?
Its not like the codecs use that many colors...
To me any ram/processor/bit i dont use is a bit that Resolume can use to calculate things so it gets faster...

Greetz Superficial...
