Audio recording isn't implmented yet.
Could some of you which files are in 0 byes of size post the name of the files that have been created.
It might have something todo with the name of the file oddly enough.

same problem here unfortunately.

using:
xp, 4 gigs, service pk3,
nvidia geforce 8800 gts, 640MB, forceware 169.21, video bios 60.80.0e.13

creates 0kb files, the record button immediately disengages...

any more info i can give?

hope to resolve this one, thanks

Today i´ve tried record again and suddenly it worked. So i was thinking why this happend and i think the difference between my last session and now is that i´ve connected a second monitor. For validation of this idea i switched dual screen off and tried to start resolume again then i´ve got some opengl driver error message, probably because of the setting that are associated with the last loaded deck and could not start. Generally i had the feeling that with the second monitor switched on resolume has been much more stable. Before it crashed usally very soon after the launching. I could imagine the single screen mode is rare at the developers workspace.

We haven't seen a difference till now between haveing one or two screens connected to our computers.
I do work often on a laptop only, so i probably would have noticed this myself.
But does the Quictime recording stop working when another screen is attached? Do you see a pattern in when the recording works or not.

 Sorry Edwin. It seems that i was a little bit to hasty with posting. I´ve been too euphoric that record was working. If i discover some valid patterns i will come back.

After some problems with my computer last weekend I've re-installed resolume 3 avenue several times during fresh installations on my workstation and my new laptop...
Unfortunately the recording function still doesn't seem to work anymore :(

The first time i downloaded the 2nd Beta (rev1110) and installed in on my PC it worked perfect... Now after several trials and errors I can't get it to work. :?:

The problem seems to be related to the fact resolume tries to create an xml file to describe the to be recorded clip - but is not allowed by the filesystem. It just ignores that and tries anyway but no content is ever written.

I used Sysinternals Process Monitor and generated the following logfil:
http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/70903/Logfile.rar

here's the line that might be the cause ( but if it's not just download the logfile and see for yourself)

Date & Time: 22/02/2009 15:52:28
Event Class: File System
Operation: CreateFile
Result: NAME NOT FOUND
Path: C:\Users\Sander\AppData\Roaming\Resolume Avenue 3\previews\live-82272828620091221552287630mov.xml
TID: 3488
Duration: 0.0000221
Desired Access: Read Attributes
Disposition: Open
Options: Open Reparse Point
Attributes: n/a
ShareMode: Read, Write, Delete
AllocationSize: n/a

I tried giving everyone full rights on C:\Users\Sander\AppData\Roaming\Resolume Avenue 3\previews and also running under windows xp sp2 compatibility mode and as administrator under Vista 64bit.
