Midi Clock via BCR2000 not getting to R2.41

Post by ChromaK »

Problem: I have a SoundBite Micro generating a Midi Clock, this is sent to a BCR2000's Midi Input, and lights the LED indicator of the BCR. The BCR is interfaced via USB and works perfectly (enough) in R2.41. However the Midi Clock isn't present in R2.41.

So... a) where on a midi signal does the clock reside, is it universal? there seems to be very few options to setup any interface. Do I need to specify a channel, i.e 1-16? Should I be using MidiYoke for this?

b) Would the Midi Clock be sent on the USB or only on the Midi Out Port? Is there a setting on the BCR that would fix this?

Would greatly appreciate any help anyone can offer as i'm a noob to midi.

I think you might have to configure the BCR2000 that it forwards the MIDI signals.
You can monitor the MIDI messages that your computer receives with a MIDI monitor like MidiOX http://www.midiox.com/.
MidiOX is a must have tool i think when using MIDI.

Orsum! MidiOx and MidiYoke are great. Now I have an extra finger free so I can tap the beat anywhere, or even click them if its a soulful moment. Yeehaa hands-free VJing! (well one step closer...)
