flawed output

Post by KILL! CLUB »

hey,

I have just upgraded from 2.4.1 to avenue - i have a duo 1.86 x1400 2 gb ram - 3 yr old workhorse ;)
I installed new codec etc,, my output from 2.41 is fine but now from avenue straight to my lcd tv and via my triplehead2go output is only the bottom third of the clip on the top third of the output.
In demo clips it "blow effects" down as its trying to scale - my prerecordered 2.41 clips only play in the top third with no blow downeffect - (can recreate the effect with zooming) now slight glitches randomly with my laptop screen as well - odd''''''
The monitor output workspace view is fine too.
Need to sort it for gig this weekend or im dropping to a single screen running 2.41

cheers

Hi.
I have the same problem with the second beta and this official version (but not with the first 990 beta).
Absolutely no idea whats wrong.

HP nw8440
ATI FireGL v5200

PS: Does anyone know something about softmodding FireGL drivers to X1600 (or any other tricks to get the fucking piece of shit card work properly...)?

YES!
Finally I found working graphics driver update from HP:s site. Afterall it was something with Catalyst Control Center and FireGL card not working together.
I am sorry I wasted your time.

Hi

I'm very new to resolume and have just installed Avenue 3.0.0. We run into similar problems as well... Perhaps anyone can help us with this:

system is:

DELL XPS700
nVidia 8800 GTX
Triplehead2Go Digital Edition, with three monitors connected

Problems:
- The output can *sometimes* be stretched onto the three monitors, however, clips flickers terribly and uncontrolably.

- In most cases, after setting the composition's to 3072 by 768, or 3840 by 1024, fullscreen output on Display2 (Triplehead) simply does not work. No window is created.

Any lights would be greatly appreciated. This seems like a rather intricate problem, any experience counts.

Best,

Guillaume L.

The plot thickens...

Tries:

1-Installed latest Nvidia drivers (182.08_geforce_winxp_32bit_english_whql.exe) on 8800GTX --- NO GO

2-Unplug Triplehead, stop all related services, replug 1280x1024 monitor, reset output stage size to 1280X1024 ---NO GO either: activating fullscreen on display 2 does nothing. Resolume now seems broken?

3-Reinstall Resolume, restart... same problem as in 2.

This is rather discomforting, since a return to initial conditions doesn't do anything.

Any help?

Thanks

GuillaumeL.

Re: flawed output - SOLUTION

Post by GLspace »

We have found a turnaround:

1. If on nVidia graphics card, set Compatibility Performance Mode in Manage 3D settings.

2. Set output size and composition size to that of a single monitor (e.g. 640*480).

3. Encode your clips to say, 1920*480.

4. Manually set the clips height and width to that of the full resolution.

That should do it, voilà. We have not yet tested with higher resolutions.

Voilà.

I am also getting the "blow" effect on my output.
The bottom third of the output appears in the top third of the screen, and then smears down the rest of the screen (like the "blow" effect).
The output monitor in the main interface displays correctly.

I have an acer aspire 5600 laptop with ATI x1300 g.card
