Recording sound?

Post by Faceless »

Board,

I've just been using REsolume for a bout a month now, very fun.

However, what's the best way to synch up a recording with the background music? If I play it in Resolume along with the video on a seperate layer, the recorded live file has no sound. I see that it renders in uncompressed .wav files for audio but don't know where this is.

Please let me know. Thank you.

When Audio recording is enabled in the Preferences all audio played out by Resolume is recorded.
Resolume does not record incoming audio, so the input used for FFT won't be recorded. But if you play audio and video from Resolume both we'll be recorded.

How exactly is that set up?
I'm using 3, didn't know where that section was.

Open Sound Control?
Or under Audio then input.

Sorry if I"m just not getting anything.

Thank you.

Its in the settings under general preferences. if you want to record audio from an external source (from other software), you will need to use a VST plugin called wormhole. there is a good tutorial here:

I don't have "record audio" or "record video" options.

Is this new to 3.1 I have 3.0.0, is the update free?

Why is that I gotta put in a new serial? Gotta go find that damn box now................

Is there no way to record sound with 3.0 ?

Update from 3.0 to 3.1 is free and should not change anything in your regstration....
Otherwise you can paste your Avenue registration code again in the preferences menu -> Registration tab.

While you posted your question in the "Version 2.41" topic I guess you are not using version Resolume Avenue 3.0 isn't it? In that case you have to buy the new version from the shop.

Hey

Just wanted to record some music coming from winamp in sync with video from resolume.
I downloaded VST Winamp Bridge for Winamp (http://www.winamp.com/plugin/vst-winamp-bridge/146317) installed it. Then go to preferences in Winamp, open the dsp/effects section on the very bottom, select the plugin and press "configure plug-in". Click inside the text field that is shown and load the wormhole.dll from the zip. Configured wormhole as shown in the wormhole tutorial above (with fruity). Runs nicely, even with on-board crap :P
