HELLO ! RESOLUME shuts down intermittantly ? Help:)

Post by dreamtk »

Hi Guys.

Long time since i've been here.

Recently Resolume shuts down (without an error message) sometimes it's 30 minutes, othertimes might go an hour.

I also feel it depends on how much i'm pushing it.. for example; if im using 3 laters with effects everywhere it shuts down quicker and even immediately sometimes :(

I run XP with 2 gig of RAM..

thought it might be a paging file problem so let my computer auto manage the paging files to my 4 partitions..

I really havnt enjoyed the last 5 weeks of Vjing...

hoping people still browse here ! :)

Bart??? :p :)

Hey Dreamtk

We're not actively changing R2.41 anymore, so my first guess would be this has to do with changes to your hardware or OS rather than the software. You could try doing a fresh install of your OS and running all the relevant updates.

If that's not the issue, please feel free to post again, because we are still actively supporting R2.41

Fresh start with the minimum amount of software worked wonders for me.

After a fresh windows install try this:

Install latest windows updates

Install latest graphic/motherboard drivers

Install latest quicktime (make sure its in c:/program files/quicktime)

Install resolume

Install resolume codec

Make sure all of your clips are encoded using dxv and presto, your resolume (as far as software is concerned) is ready to go. If you're still having issues it will be hardware related.

Hope that helps

Great list Witcher!

For completeness' sake, using the DXV codec with Resolume 2.41 (the version this thread originally was about) will have no extra benefit, and you may be better off with Indeo or MJPEG.

But aside from that, those tips are worth gold!

Thanks

Joris
