Thanks for all the feedback everyone!

This feature will be most likely implemented as 'play once and hold', and will be available as an additional option next to the other playback controls. As always, no promises on when it will happen though ;-)

+1 for an option to pause on the last frame.

But clearing at the end is handy sometimes too.
