I managed to find a work around to get some form of soft edging on Resolume. You can see from the pictures that it is not perfect but that is mainly because I ran out of time.

Work around as follows (hopefully this makes sense)

Set up outputs in advanced so that Left projector is on the right hand side and the right projector is on the left hand side of composition.

Add mask to composition with left and right edges feathered to black

Add video wall effect to each layer on the 4 screen setting, adjust zoom and position on effect so that you can see two (just over) half screens with the joint in the middle.

You can then adjust zoom, position till your image lines up with the correct overlap.
