Hi I'm interested to hear if anyone has used Arena with DMX control and how it worked. I am interested in this feature for a theatrical production. Thanks.
I tested it the other day using an zero 88 Leapfrog desk (which has built in artnet).
Set up with a Ethernet from console to mac, the lighting desk acts as a large midi controller, open dmx map select the video/fader you want then push the flash button or fader on the lighting desk thats sending signal, and it maps to the parameter.
It's more the lighting controlling the software than the other way round
maybe sending the lighting desk midi would help control it the other way as most lighting desks accept midi.
It took me around half an hour to work it out, getting all the right IP addresses and so forth.
I was able to achieve one red screen with one red spot off one fader...woo hoo, in all the time i afforded myself.
