FLASH once again

Post by Kirk »

playing with the new avenue i noticed, that i couldn't use my "old" swf-files. but the flash-content that was delivered by resolume plays.
my first though "hmm okay, flash 7 content - perhaps any problem with it". i tried to install older flash versions, installed active-x plugin (i hate the i.e.) and erverything. no solution.
today there was a new flash-update...i hopefully installed. nothing.
then my brainstorm: i copied the older flash content from my external drive into the media directory of resolume 4...and look: it worked.
has anybody an explanation? is there any configuration in flash i have to do?

OH MY GOD!
find a solution for my individual problem (but i'm afraid, it's a german one): the path to my "old" flash files contained an umlaut ("ü")...so resolume couldn't handle it!
damn, that's new, isn't it?

I just installed the 4.0.1 update, and I noticed there is a check box under preferences/general that is titled Font, maybe try checking that, and see if it helps, I don't know if the ü character is considered latin or not... I failed Language, I spent all my time on my computer instead...
