Got the same issue, different hardware.

Software seems nice, but can't use it 2nd screen.

Hardware:
AMD 64 XP3000+
1Gb DDR 400
ASUS K8V
Geforce FX 5900XT (drivers 61.77)

Same problem too.

I belive that the problem is with some codec, cause after installing some new codecs, I encountered this problem. Before installing codecs, resolume worked fine.

Same problem occured with beta 1 at the same time.

Problem solved!

Try playing a clip before turning on dvdMAX. By doing that, dvdMAX feature works fine (at least it works with my computers).

tis a shame my 15 days of resolume 2 beta have run out, otherwise that info might have been useful :P

hope resolume 2 final has reset the 15 day trial. im not buying R2 if it doesnt work with my computer obviously

i managed to fix it, it turned out that it was the drivers, so i got the lattest nvidia drivers and it works now.

dont know what it could be on teh ATI cards though
