Go-Pro Hero 3 Black ed./ live stream vid/Resolume

Im looking to pair together the Go-Pro Hero 3 Black Edition, which emits a wifi signal of video to any source. I can already hook this up to an android easily, but i want to hook up to my laptop that has a midi controller hooked up to it. Also from saying this, i would like to hook this cam up wire-lessly and then utilize the Resolume program to map-out and layer different things on a projector.

Secondly, the video from the wifi signal that you obtain from the laptop or the Android are both at a lag time of about 3-4 seconds. I have tried to reduce the quality of video being outputted, but nothing helps the latency to get as close to realtime as possible.

Any suggestions would be very helpful! Thanks! :D

Cool, would be nice if they would have an SDK so we could build native support for this.

Found this

I don't own a Hero yet, but a friend of mine is bringing his on the night of the party. Hmm, is it possible to just choose the VLC stream as a source in Resolume?

Yes, you can stream it directly to VLC player, but on the player exclusively... there is still a 4 second lattency to the player.

I haven't tried to link VLC and Resolume together yet, not sure how to do so since i am using a windows computer.

What i was talking about in the previous post was the WIFI utilization. What your link is to, is the Micro-HDMI utilization. Hard wiring your go-pro will produce a live image. But what im trying to do, is use the WIFI that the Go-Pro has to create a live stream.

If you want a wireles setup from a camera you can use an Iphone (or multiple) and airbeam. It supports Syphon and has verry little latency. this you can use as a source. Mac only.
