Does anyone have experience in importing Twitterfeeds into Resolume? Should be possible with Flash. I'm not a developer so I'm looking for a simple solution.
I think twitter has some sort of RSS feed for your timeline isn't it? If so...
I'm not at home right now, but I remember that in one the user/media folders of Avenue there was a "rss import" flash example.. This should work right out of the box.
desktop: Windows 7 home premium 64 bit, MSI 870A-G54, AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition, 4Gb RAM (GVP34GB1600C9DC), NVidia GTX 560
laptop: Windows 7 home premium 32 bit, Core2duo 2Ghz, 4Gb Ram, NVidia 9600m GT
Hmm.... I think it could also be possible with a vitual webcam software.
Some of those tools let u define desktop regions...in such a region you can place a twitter realtimefeed window... all u have to do now is to insert the virtual webcam into resolume...
thanks for your advice. The rss.swf is certainly worth a try.
I've tried to follow a usersfeed and that did work. A searchfeed however didn't work. It seems Twitter stopped supporting RSS and uses a new technology OAuth. Some developerfriends are trying to help me with it now, I'll keep you posted about the outcome.
I'll try the virtual webcam option tomorrow, it's a creative idea, worth trying. Thanks!
I know a third party solution that will allow you to video capture Tweets, SMS, MMS, photos from cell phones and Facebook Wall posts as well.
The bad news is that it is a stand alone package that will cost you US$350,00 and only runs on a PC.
I usually grab the video output signal from the PC to the Mac but results so far are not very good - composite video ; (
Yes, this week I found (here at Resolume forum) an alternative to send VGA signal from the PC to the Mac but that´s another 300+ dollars.
Looks like Twitter has changed their API again as of June 15th-- everything wants OAUTH two step authorization now. I was using the Qtz rss reader, but I have no idea how to modify it to do two step/pinless auth with that. So-- went back to Flash. Works as well as it did before-- does @user as well as #hashtag searches. http://emaqdesign.com/video_loops_flash.html
