DXV2 to DXV3

Post by dirtyjohn_lv »

Normally when I do codec conversion, I convert to TIFF sequence, then into the codec I need (takes a while, but never fails).

Is there any reason to do this, or can I just convert from 2 to 3 with no problems? Or is it like trying to take a 128 MP3 and making it to a 256 file?

Either way, this is going to be a long process ....

Re-encode from your TIFF source. You're correct that you'll get generation loss transcoding 2 to 3.

dxv2->dxv3 = dxv2->tiff->dxv3
Your example of convert is a reencode.
