Officially, a license is personal, and you're not allowed to sell it second-hand.
If you contact us beforehand though, we're generally nice guys and we'll help you out. For instance, when buying a license second-hand, we can make sure that the license is transferred to your own account. This way you are sure that you get what you paid for, the original owner cannot access it anymore, and you also get access to discounted upgrades and other benefits.
As a general rule of thumb, it's always, always better to talk to us and see what the options are.
Case in point: a lot of people try to be smart and go behind our backs to save a few euros by buying the 3 computer volume license with 3 people. This always bites them in the ass, because they always run into license or upgrade problems and we can't provide support in those cases. If they would have just contacted us and explained the situation, we could have made sure they each got a discount deal, with each person getting a separate account and a separate license.
Thanks Joris! I've seen that folks have sold genuine licenses here in the past, and I've had good luck with honest sellers of 2nd hand software/plugins on other forums. Had my eye on Resolume for a while, but I missed the Black Friday sale and need a copy for an event coming up very soon - cash is tight after the holidays and I'm no longer a student Thanks for being so reasonable! (ps I'm looking for Avenue 4 btw - hopefully upgrade to Arena down the track when I've moved from hobbyist to more professional).
A.f.a.i.k., in Europe it's legal to sell your unused licenses.
Anyway, good that the guys from Resolume are willing to participate in a licence tranfer.
The license is still available b.t.w.!
I'm not online that much, so post here and send me a PM also.
Thanks!
